GPOYW - Hat Appreciation Look, I get it. I’m a sensitive guy. A regular bro wouldn’t write a tribute to a hat, but you know what, I ain’t no reg bro. You see, I have a a weird head and lots of dumb hair, and most hats look really stupid on me. This red hat has been one of the first hats that I can wear consistently and not hate the way it makes my head look. There’s a catch, though. LA is hot enough that it’s not practical or comfortable to wear it any time except the “cold season,” which is lame LA speak for the two-ish months where it’s the slightest bit cold, which is also lame LA speak for “Low 60s.” So, red hat, our time together is running out, and I fear that we might only have a few more days together. And then what? Haircut? New hat? Not likely. Probably months of troll-doll looking stubbornness, waiting for the day when the temperature dips below 90 and I can walk outside wearing this thing for 5 minutes. Here’s to you, red hat. You are worth the Team Zissou jokes, the hat-hair, and the occasional itchiness. See you in seven months or so.
