Warning to Sunny nerds everywhere: this is NOT a proper season six finale. This is a TV broadcast of last year’s DVD-only Christmas special. And, because it was produced and written during season five, if feels a lot like an extended season five episode. There’s some funny stuff here for sure, but the way I feel about it is the way I felt about most of last season: too mean and nasty for my taste. On Christmas, no less! Each member of the gang is celebrating in the only way they know how, which is sort of a way to get a little background/origin story for each of them.
Happy Sunny Season Finale, everyone! This concludes my Season Six Recaps. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’m going to cancel my cable.
