Internet Memory Lane: AOL Profiles
in 7th grade, my best friend had “mrrg mks evrthng wrse” as his Marital Status on his AOL profile (remember those??). I remember thinking it was super deep and mysterious, because his parents were still together and seemed happy. Was he privy to some closed doors, American Beauty type stuff? I’ll never know. I just know that at age 13 or 14, he wanted all of America (at least the Online part of it) to know that he hated marriage as much as he hated vowels. He was a deep dude.
