Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It

The best part of this song has to be this line:

All the summertime skirts and the guys in Kani

All the gang bangers forgot about the drive-by.

As in, forgot about the DRIVE-BY SHOOTING.

So, this is amazing for one of two reasons:

1. The party that Montell Jordan is rapping about is so good that a vicious gang is having SO much fun that they totally don’t remember that they’re supposed to go commit a murder.

Example:

GANG MEMBER 1: Hey, man, weren’t we supposed to murder someone tonight?

GANG MEMBER 2: Oh, wow! Ha, It totally slipped my mind! I guess there’s not much time to think about about gunning down a rival gang member when we’re so busy on the SLIP-N-SLIDE!!!!!

or

2. The party is great enough that a gang who came straight from watching their friend and fellow gang member get gunned down in cold blood has completely forgotten about the tragic events of earlier in the day, and are now having the time of their lives.

GANG MEMBER 1: Hey man, do you miss Mike at all?

GANG MEMBER 2: Mike who? Dude, they’ve got a Ms. Pac Man machine in the basement!

I want to go to a party that’s that much fun. I want it more than anything.
